The Venue

Te Kouka Hall - where we scrap!

The Shotover Units - where we will be sleeping

This block of rooms has a lounge and kitchen on one end with a TV so is perfect for some 'blobbing' out when you need a break from creating. There are two showers/toilets within this block and a short walk to the newly refurbished ablutions block with another 7 or so showers and toilets in.

Queenstown Spring Retreat Registration Form

You can access the registration form by clicking on the link below:

Queenstown Retreat Spring '09' Registration form

November 19th - 22nd 2009

A creative retreat from your ‘everyday’ so you can begin to cross off some of your gift and card lists, learn some new tricks, make a gift or two, create cards, scrap some pages and enjoy the company of other creative types, not to mention the delicious food that previous retreat goers have begun to expect!

What the camp fees cover:

Accommodation will be mainly in dorms with two people per room and you will be provided with Breakfast & Lunch each day, tea, coffee & milo as well as an a la carte dinner on the Saturday evening (a chance to dress up a little). Evening meals on Thursday and Friday will be your opportunity to enjoy some of the restaurants and cafes in Frankton, Remarkables Park, Arrowtown or Queenstown – depending on how far your tastebuds wish to travel – or even something quick from the Supermarket. Any cold drinks other than water are BYO. You will be expected to help with dishes, keeping things tidy and cleaning up both accommodation and scrap space, kitchen etc. at the end of the retreat. There is an extra payment you can make if you would like to be exempt from this.

Optional Workshops

You will have the option of participating in and paying for at least two different workshops over the weekend. The descriptions and costs of these will be released early August on the Blog and in an email to those who have already registered.

Registration

Your registration fee of $30 is non-refundable and this must be paid to secure your spot along with the information asked for in the registration form. Registrations close on Friday 28th August 2009.

The balance of your Retreat fees are due on Friday 30th October 2009.

goodies

I've been playing with my ever growing box of goodies and prizes for the retreat and thought I'd share some of them...

I'm hoping to pop into Andrea's tomorrow...so the goodies box may grow even bigger in a short space of time!

No one has correctly guessed the answer for the comp in the last post...so feel free to keep guessing!

In two weeks time we will be creating.

Remember to bring some baking/snacks and your towels (that means you too Andrea!). A few still to pay the balance of the retreat fees (due on Friday 19th June).

The chef has an appointment on Monday - hope he can walk in time for the retreat! Bit tricky cooking on crutches.

Have kept our booking for the dining hall...scrapping by the open fire rocks!

Dinner on Sat night is looking a little special so to feel even more special...you might want to dress up a little for it.

Andy specific product requests for sale in the 'shop' over the weekend- flick an email to Andrea info@scrapbookoutletnz.co.nz at this stage Andrea is arriving on the Friday - if you will need something before then....let her know ASAP and she might be able to send it through or I could even bring it back on Monday.

Smiles.

been busy

organising some inspiration, challenges, giveaways...

There is another bigger group using the camp so am now re-thinking our spaces and furniture arrangements!
Thankfully the 'common' spaces in the chalet's are a good size, a few trestle tables and it's all go.
We do still have the use of the dining room (with the open fire)...but the rest of the main block will be used by another group so depends on how everyone feels security wise? Let me know your thoughts.
No drama's, all sweet - there are only 13 of us so it's all good. Nice relaxed group :-)
For those who are registered, you should have got an email last night. Check your spam boxes if you haven't received it. And if it's not there flick me an email.

Got a box from Andrea today...something deliciously scrapbooky in it...first one to guess what was in the pizza box get's a RAK at the retreat! Leave a post with your guess. This is only open to registered retreaters sorry.
