Promotions Competition

There is now one month left till registrations close for the Spring Retreat.

In this competition there will be a couple of ways to earn your name in the draw!

  1. 3 entries - refer a friend who registers (if you have already registered and were referred by someone else coming flick me their name so I can credit them entries) This only applies to people who have been to a Queenstown Retreat before.
  2. 2 entries - make a post on your blog or forums you are a part of about the retreat with a link to the blog or forum thread - leave the link to where you did this in the comments section of this post. This part is open to anyone - whether you are coming or not! If you would like to put up some information at any schools or similar community places I have a document I can email you. By putting these up (grab a photo if you can and email it to me) you can earn the 2 entries also.
  3. 1 entry - for being referred by a friend that you nominated in the first way to earn names in the draw.
The draw will take place after registrations close :-)

Depending on registrations in August, I may be able to accept late registrations but there will be an increased cost of the total weekend for late registrations and will be on the provision that we can source extra beds and tables for creating on - each person will have half of a large trestle table for their creative space over the weekend.

Classes comments winner

is Kim.

If you have further class suggestions I'd still love to hear them.

Lara

Colours

Colours.
When creating our pages, projects or cards colour plays an important part in the process and the finished product. It's the same for the colours you choose for your wardrobe and to wear. I recently had my 'colours done' by a colour consultant with Colours in Harmony. I was also guided through make up choices to suit my colourings. Really confidence boosting and a huge help when shopping for clothes. I took away with me a 'swatch' of the colours that suit my skin tones that will help with making good choices when shopping. When going through the colours the consultant also identified the colours in my swatch that really make ME stand out.

One of the optional workshops over the weekend will be for a one on one session with a colour consultant (minimum of 2 peole required for this to go ahead). With your full payment you will receive a $40 voucher for use to get the $189.00 cost for this reduced to just $149! It may seem expensive, but the confidence in what you wear and the savings you will experience when shopping for clothes or make up (simplified by the swatch that you take away with you) make it worthwhile in the long run!

Workshop details will be released mid-late July.

Remember the prize draws in previous posts! Sorry Kim & Julie...there are a few people now in the draw for the early bird...but only 2 comments on workshops so far...the odds for this draw are looking good!

Colourful Smiles,
Lara

Getting to Queenstown

I found flights $109 From Auckland and $59 From Christuchurch each way on jetstar...

Or try to see what you can find on Air NZ

We will do whatever we can to assist with arrivals and departures...please let me know your itinerary. Or you can check out the different transport options from the airport yourself by clicking HERE.

Another option could be to rent a car if you want to see even more of the Wakatipu (you might even want to book an extra night or two ...)

We will be staying at Lakeland Park.

Workshops!

Queenstown Scrap Retreat 2008
(added a picture because all the interesting posts have photos right?)

Spring Retreat will be in November - getting to the end of Spring..but just sliding into that silly season...this retreat is a good opportunity to get a start or finish on the cards and gifts you want to make in time whether it be gifts for colleagues, teachers, coaches, family...

I have approached some experienced tutors who have agreed to run optional workshops at different times over the weekend. What I want from you are ideas regarding the type of workshops you would prefer to attend if any. Please vote in the micropoll on the right side of the blog. You can select more than one.

To encourage some feedback on workshop preferences...there will be a RAK sent based on a random draw for any relevant comments made following this post. CLOSED.

Workshops will be held in a comfortable space away from the main crop room, will cost extra and will provide you with techniques and ideas that can be used for many future creative endeavours - if not to create more of the same for further gifts or cards.
There will be minimum numbers required for any workshop to go ahead as well as maximum numbers also.

I look forward to reviewing your responses.
You have untill July 31st.

Make sure you check back here to find out the winner of the random draw!
